wouldnt a centralized currecy be more beneficial because of its programmers inherent monopoly over their own currency? For example: they will work to keep improvements and sustainability over their "creation" VS BTC were its more a frenzy over who does what? im seeing the difference as LTC is a dog with one head, while BTC is a thousand headed dog
Thank you for sharing this! Very good info indeed. Considering switching to Litecoin after spending an entire day waiting for a TX to confirm on BTC. I woke up around 9am EST, to see that Jochen’s mempool graph showed that 4 bytes would have sufficed the 5-6 blocks before I sent my TX. Then, within 5 blocks, we were at 100 sat/byte all day. It’s getting insane. I’m so ready for taproot and a few other technologies to be implemented. It blows my mind how slow it is to soft fork the software, even for VERY NEEDED ELTOO support… oh well.
And yes, I know I could CPFP or RBF, even tried it to go to 10 sat/byte a few blocks later before it was up to 20 sat/byte… but still got caught sending too close to the 100 sat/byte that has been all day. 🙁 I love Bitcoin more than anything, but it pisses me off to spend $2.50 to shift money. Considering throwing all caution to the wind and sticking all of my funds on Lightning just to not have to deal with this stupid fee market, that I think is created by miners sending themselves money and paying exorbitant fees on those TXs, just to make more money from others having to pay EVER HIGHER fees.
My Exodus wallet got hacked when nobody knew the passphrase except for me (also, I had made no transactions). The $2,500 worth bitcoins I had on my exodus wallet became 0, I contacted the support and they just sent me one email (which I think was auto-generated) and then, I was ignored.
