satoshi stacker why didnt you put up a limit order at the price you wished to increase your position. it would automatically fill the positioin right?
These wicks down are frequent enough that they should always be expected imo, esp. if you are on leverage. In fact, I always set automated buy orders on alts paired with ETH or BTC precisely to catch these whale or algo liquidations. ETH and BTC keep you in the bull market and if you catch a wick its a like winning a raffle.
Love your work man, as always keeping it real. Risk management is everything. Some of my hodls only dipped just down to their entry price, others I considered DCA'ing as they were down 20% – in the end I didn't add any money into my portfolio. For me I didn't know for sure what direction things would go. We still don't!! Who knows, perhaps the dip was the best buy in the year. Perhaps I'll look back and be glad I didn't put more in.
Don't get greedy, be smart. You only realise that loss or profit if and when you sell.
I have to say, I followed up on your strategy for longing some coins and bying dips, and I am still alive in half of my positions. ETH, XTZ and XRP got me rekt, but BTC, LTC and LINK are doing fine. Sometimes having no leverage is the most profitable thing one can do on a long term.
